Mac Gaither
I am an enthusiastic, adaptable, and fast-learning American filmmaker with grip, camera, and post-production experience across a variety of high-profile commercial and independent projects. I thrive on change and excel under pressure. I’m energetic, eager to learn, and communicate clearly and honestly. I started my career in 2017 as a marketing assistant at NVIDIA, and have been fostering my passion for film, media, and arts ever since. Whether it be an indie project, a small-scale art installation, or a big budget production, I feel lucky to be at work!
The following is a mix of my most recent and important film and visual media projects.

For Terry (2024)
A memoir made for the late Terry Gaither, my grandfather’s brother, for his 90th birthday. A collection of stories, memories, and tributes recounted by 23 of his closest friends and family members over the course of a 60-minute documentary.
I began this project in 2021 with a set of four family history centered interviews with my grandfather, Jim. Over the following three years I conducted 22 additional interviews with friends and family members, culminating in a blitz of 43 interviews in May/June 2024. I spent the remaining three months leading up to his birthday in September editing over 95 hours of interviews into a finished 60-minute product. All motion graphics used are hand-made in After Effects.
Getting to show Terry this video has been one of the great joys of my life.
